Tree Safety Institute, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Tree Safety Institute platform at app.treesafety.org and the marketing website at treesafety.org. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we may share it with, and your rights with respect to your information.
By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy.
Account and company information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, company name, and other information you provide. Company admins may add employees by name, email address, and job title.
Training and compliance records. We store the training assignments you create, quiz results, course completions, certificates issued, toolbox talk records, incident reports, and job hazard analyses entered into the Platform. This data is entered by you and belongs to you.
Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers. We receive and store a customer ID and subscription status from Stripe.
Usage data. We may collect information about how you use the Platform, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken, for the purpose of improving the Platform and troubleshooting issues.
Communications. If you contact us by email or through the Platform, we retain records of that correspondence.
Marketing site visitors. When you visit treesafety.org, we may collect standard server log data including your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. We do not currently deploy third-party analytics trackers on the marketing site.

We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers. We share data with third-party vendors who help us operate the Platform, including:
These providers process data only as directed by us and are contractually obligated to protect it.
Marketing partners. We may share non-sensitive account information (such as company name, industry, and general usage tier) with marketing partners to help us reach companies in the tree care industry that may benefit from the Platform. We will not share employee training records, incident reports, or other operational data with marketing partners. If you wish to opt out of this sharing, contact us at admin@treesafety.org.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business transfers. If Tree Safety Institute, LLC is acquired, merged, or its assets are sold, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is subject to a different privacy policy.
We retain your account data and training records for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we retain your data for 90 days before deletion, allowing time for data export. Some records may be retained longer if required by law or to resolve disputes.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting admin@treesafety.org.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords via Supabase Auth, and access controls. No system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information and encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and to report any suspected security issues to admin@treesafety.org.

The Platform is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at admin@treesafety.org and we will delete it promptly.
